Mash Direct- Company of the Year Award Winners

On Friday 16th October 2009 Mash Direct was announced as Company of the Year at the UTV Business Eye Awards ceremony at the Culloden Hotel. Mash Direct was selected from hundreds of businesses from across Northern Ireland. This was the third annual UTV Business Eye awards run in association with the Bank of Ireland (Scotland) to recognise the success and contributions of local business organisations and individuals in both the private and public sector. This is a major success story for Mash Direct who were selected and recognised for their success and positive impact to the Private Sector in Northern Ireland over the past twelve months. Mash Direct have made a major contribution to the local economy and food industry despite challenging economic conditions. Brenda Buckley, Business Eye magazine said- "current economic conditions had made little impact on a record entry for the UTV Business Eye Awards. We had a really high quality entry across no less than 16 different categories, and our judging panel faced some very difficult decisions in some of those categories." Hugh Donnelly, Head of Regions North at Bank of Scotland (Ireland) who presented the award said:“Economic times may be tighter this time around, but it is still vitally important that we recognise outstanding performance in both the private and public sectors, and that best practice is highlighted for all to see.
