2009 has already been a very busy year for Mash Direct, from launches of New Product's, Television Advertising Campaigns to achieving an A* grade at BRC level to name but a few but perhaps the most prestigious of all was a visit from His Royal Highness The Duke of York.
On Thursday 17th September a motorcade of Range Rovers drove up Mash Direct's lane. Prince Andrew was greeted by Martin and Tracy Hamilton as well as distinguished guests and proceeded to the board room, the Duke then met with Mr Tony Reid, Mr Neil Houghton and Mr Lance Hamilton, a presentation of Mash Direct's history and achievements was made before beginning a tour of the facilities.
HRH talked with Gary Adams, Farm Manager, and viewed the onboard controls of the De Wulf harvester. He declined a ride on the machine but watched a demonstration of the harvester in action. The tour then moved inside the factory itself where HRH was met by Joan Brown, Technical Manager and Stanley Hill, Production Manager, along with a number of our production team who were busy at work.
The tour was concluded with a meeting in Mash Direct's double decker Bus and had the opportunity to sample many of our products and discuss future opportunities. HRH then signed our visitor's book before leaving for the next engagement.
